Transcript: Presented by PERSON for COMPANY TOPIC 1 Done by Hannah Thomas TEXTING AND DRIVING introduction A deadly epidemic People may never think that it would happen to them . A car accident could happen at any time and there is a higher possibility if you are a distracted driver. Talking on the phone while driving is much more dangerous then what most think. Testes have shown that hand free headsets are just as distracting then a hand held cell phone. my opinion I chose this topic because this is a real life problem and it happens every day. When people go to work, which is everyday there are distracted drivers and it will eventually lead to a serious problem and could end fatally. Its crazy to think about these distracted drivers and how they think its okay. Some people may not even realize that they are distracted. Some drivers may think that sense they are not the distracted drivers that they are okay but they are just as likely to get in a horrible car crash. Why I chose this topic Pictures PICTURES SUBTOPIC 2 FACTS Its been tested that a driver on a phone had the same reactions of a drunk driver. Its most likely for a distracted driver to crash and for the crash to end deadly. many people don't understand how people can get distracted. This is true because certain people need to realize that the distractions can wait until you arrive and you are out of the vehicle. Graph graph Map MAP This map shows the percentage and the amount of people in different states that tare on their phone while driving. Chart CHART This chart shows the ages of the people and the amount of time that they spend on their phones while driving. while ON THE ROAD topic 2 MOST DRIVERS SAY THAT THEY ARE NOT HAPPY ABOUT SHARING THE ROAD WITH OTHER DRIVERS THAT ARE DISTRACTED BY THE TECHNOLOGY. MANY STUDIES HAVE FOUND THAT 91.5 PERCENT OF THE DRIVERS CONSIDERED TALKING ON THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING A SERIOUS THEREAT. STUDIES ALSO FOUND THAT TWO-THIRDS OF THOSE PEOPLE ADMITTED TO TALKING ON THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING. What I learned TOPIC 3 I learned that the people driving on the do not care whether or not they are distracted. I don't think people realize that texting or calling someone can wait. I was honestly surprised about the percentage of people that actually don't care. This problem is getting worse every year because technology is all around us and people cant avoid it.
